These two models are inspired by the previous Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph (26388PO & 26288OR) but have an entirely redesigned movement that has been developed exclusively for these limited editions. In keeping with the combination of materials often found on Royal Oak Offshore models, the crown and pushpieces on these watches are in ceramic instead of metal and rubber. The new dial design has a strong architectural look that fits perfectly in the bold Offshore collection.

Audemars Piguet was considered by the top watch aficionados to be a part of this holy trinity of watchmakers since 1875. Standing beside Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet is among the most renowned watchmakers on earth. In this article, were going to go over the brand, its history, landmarks, as well as the watches you need to think about as a part of your collection. The firm itself began if 23-year-old Jules-Louis Audemars asked his 21-year-old friend Edward-Auguste Piguet to create a movement for a watch. He did just that and despite their tender ages, they had instant success. They very quickly became called top watchmakers in the region who not only collaborated with additional watchmakers to generate complicated moves, but even competed against themselves to outdo their previous achievements. Both men grew up surrounded by watches. The 2 families both spent years creating watches in the area and so despite being young, they had apprenticed as kids under their fathers, which acquired their own immense talent for watchmaking. Both knew their talents and limitations. Audemars designed and made the motion, and Piguet made sure they were accurate and functional, putting finishing touches on it as needed. Shortly, they developed their functions. Considering that the finisher needs to understand how to assemble and create a movement, Piguet took over all creation and Audemars handled the business side, focusing on earnings and management. They gathered a reputation for creating the best timepieces in the region almost immediately and their ages made their achievement that much more amazing to their admirers.

The 3 dial colors (blue, purple, and smoked blue) pop and are just generally fun to look at. Its noteworthy that these colors are able to fully catch your attention before understanding theres a tourbillon at 6 oclock. Its a wonderful change of pace from the colors we typically associate with the Royal Oak. Billed as tapisserie evolutive, the three watches are striking and might mark the beginning of a brand new design code to your Royal Oak and its own extensive family. It’ll be interesting to see what follows up these watches at SIHH 2019. This watch is the evolution of a timepiece first introduced in 2016 in a 41 millimeter case. This time around, its been decreased to 37 mm and dressed up in a Frosted Gold finish. As just one of a few Royal Oaks released this year focused on the ladies, this is a highly complex watch that’s skeletonized and utilizes double balance wheels and two hairsprings to enhance precision and stability. All the finishing touches onto the bridge and mainplate like the beveling, chamfering, polishing, and cleaning are done by hand, adding a personal touch to a very avant-garde timepiece. The third significant womens launch for AP this season (following the Millenary collection and the aforementioned Frosted Gold Double Balance Wheel Openworked) really marks two firsts for the brand: the first Royal Oak Concept watch for girls and the brands very first flying tourbillon. Its an interesting move for your brand, but the watch is definitely eye-catching. It comes in white gold in 38.5 mm and will be accessible with either brilliant-cut or baguette-cut diamonds.
