Watches from Bell & Ross watches are easily recognized for their iconic square cases. However, the vintage line of the brand is different. The majority of the Vintage watches feature round case, which making them more classic and elegant and more like a dress watch.
One of my favourite Bell & Ross watches is the WW1 Regulateur Pink Gold Watch. It is among the latest high-end pieces within the bigger Bell & Ross WW1 collection.
The case can also be nicely sized at 42mm wide and wears very easily around the wrist. Bell & Ross deliberately created it in 18k pink gold in order to communicate its higher-end character. Additionally to being a member of a little limited edition of pieces, the WW1 Regulateur is a little more costly than your average Bell & Ross watch. Additionally, it transpires with seriously an attractive brown alligator strap with matching 18k pink gold buckle.
Regulator dials are really quite simple to recognize simply because they use separate apertures for that hrs, minutes, and seconds. That always (although not always) means hrs within an upper subdial, seconds inside a lower subdial, and minutes around the bigger primary dial. What’s very unique is when plain and simple the dial is here now, even though it is not 100% barren.
Bell & Ross uses only one numeral around the dial, also it really helps ground it. The relaxation from the dial uses thin baton-style hour markers for that hrs and minutes, as the seconds are displayed inside a more generalized manner. The dial color can also be classy, becoming an opaline silver, which always looks good when matched up towards the thin blued-steel needle hands. Also, note the way the subdial for that hrs is slightly recessed and created having a snailed texture that contributes yet another touch of elegance, and prevents the dial from searching too flat.
Most Bell & Ross WW1 watches should resemble early timepieces that developed from pocket watches. The WW1 Regulateur has a number of individuals features like the ring-style lugs along with the caseback style. The caseback is really pretty nice, having a machine guilloche engraved design that’s a welcome added texture considering that the majority of the case is polished smooth just like a pebble. Bell & Ross calls the engraving style “barleycorn.”
Bell & Ross is not totally obvious what’s within the WW1 Regulateur watch. Though knowing Bell & Ross it’s a base Swiss ETA having a module on the top for that regulator-style time display. The movement is further a computerized. Within the dial, obviously, is really a sapphire crystal, and also the case is just water-resistant to 30 meters.
As a limited edition, Bell & Ross created just 99 pieces in a perhaps very steep cost of approximately $23,000.
