Bandits straight ahead at Baselworld this year.Swiss Breitling will be unveiling the new Avenger Bandit pilot’s watch at the world’s premier watch show. With its 45mm titanium case, its gray ‘stealth’ look, its ‘Military rubber’ strap and its high-performance mechanical movement, embodies daring feats and extreme missions.
Capturing the spirit of naval aviation, the watch is designed to feel perfectly at home amid the anon-stop intensity aboard the deck of an aircraft carrier. The constant, perfectly regulated choreography of planes taking off and landing. The alternating rhythm of catapults and arresting cables, amid clouds of steam.
The new Breitling Avenger Watch features a light, ultra-sturdy titanium case, a favorite metal in the field of aviation due to its strength and lightness. The 45mm diameter is enhanced by protective lateral reinforcements; its satin-brushed finishes eliminate any undesirable glinting in the heat of action. The dial is distinguished by its gray color with tone-on-tone counters accentuated by a finely snailed raised motif; it features macho aviation-inspired stencil-type numerals, with the luminescent coating ensuring excellent visibility. The dial is also protected by a thick sapphire crystal, glare-proofed on both sides.
The bezel, which is also adorned with engraved stencil-type numerals, stands out with its four rider tabs (a Breitling signature feature) serving to memorize times. The non-slip grip of the screw-locked crown and the chronograph push-pieces ensures optimal handling, even with gloves. The titanium case back is adorned with a conversion scale for the main units.
An instrument for professionals, the Avenger Bandit is equipped with a brand-new strap secured by a titanium folding clasp combining a rubber tread on the wrist side with an anthracite high-tech Military textile fiber exterior.
