Alpina – Blue Horological Smartwatch

Alpina Horological Smartwatch

Alpina launches a new aesthetical execution of the Alpina Horological Smartwatch, maintaining the technological feats and Swiss excellence all the while presenting a more casual, subtle look in comparison to its full-steel predecessor. This new timepiece is proposed in an elegant execution featuring a polished and brushed stainless steel 44 mm case combined to a classy navy sunray dial combined with a genuine brown-colored leather strap with red lining asides, turning this original sporty watch collection into a more well-dressed timepiece.

The navy sunray dial with beige luminous indexes displays central hours and minute hands, the “smart” counter is positioned at 6 o’clock. The small red hand indicates the date during the activity tracking mode and will point out the moon during your sleep tracking mode, while the small steel hand shows you the percentage of your activity or sleep goals achieved. One of the main assets of this model is that the battery life is 2+ years. The Alpina Horological Smartwatch is not a device, no need to charge it every day.

An unusual feature on the Alpina Kriegsmarine Watch “Full Black” Alpiner 4 Manufacture Flyback Chronograph is the positioning of this rectangular pushers that are aligned with the crownmolding. The crown, engraved with the Alpina logo, climbs over the pushers and the deficiency of guards on each side calls for caution as an immediate strike might well break it. It was really for this very reason that Omega fitted the crown of its Speedmaster with protectors. It is, however, a screw-in crown, a vital aspect for a wristwatch that is water-resistant to 100 meters. The black sunburst dial homes three sub-dials using a 30-minute counter at 3, date at 6, and tiny seconds at 9 o’clock. Both counters are somewhat sunken and have circular rings, which enhances legibility when providing depth to the dial. Big, rugged indicators and hands of this Alpina “Complete Black” Alpiner 4 Manufacture Flyback Chronograph accentuate the manly appearance of the timepiece and are visible in low light thanks to the beige glowing coating. The color beige can also be used to highlight the telemeter found on the outer rim of this dial.Despite home a movement measuring 30.5mm at a 44mm case, the AL-760 sub-counters have plenty of distance between them, making for a more attractive and legible layout on the dial. And there should be plenty of space within the flyback chronograph module too, since it consists of just 96 components. Even though the caseback is strong (we will try and have images of the after we get hands together with the opinion), the calibre has been adorned with Côtes de Genève and perlage decoration, anglage for the bridges, along with a PVD-coated rotor. The movement works at 4Hz, however has a power reserve of 38 hours which may be a little low for some.
